Hello 2023!!!!!
Just a quick one from me this time.
I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and New Year, and enjoyed some time off with loved ones.
We have had the most glorious summer down here so far – not to rub it in North Islanders – but I have been enjoying an afternoon dip in Lake Wakatipu most days, which to those of you who know how freezing it is, is quite a testament to how hot it has been!
It’s wonderful to be back in the shop after taking some time off, Queenstown is very busy which is wonderful to see. I have most enjoyed meeting and chatting to the many international visitors that have come through the doors.
It’s funny, when the borders first opened it was almost a shock to hear the myriad of different accents and languages after such a long time, but it was certainly a welcome one. Lockdowns seem like a distant memory, although unfortunately my family did get COVID for Christmas!
Hopefully this year will be great for everyone, I know I have a lot to look forward to!
